Brothers Plumbing, Heating & Electric would like to announce our August Brothers Gives Back Recipient as More Maitri, Inc.
Maitrī means benevolence, loving-kindness, friendliness, amity, good will, and active interest in others. It is the first of four Buddhist states where one is to be cultivated towards all in a spirit of generosity which is free of attachment or thoughts of self-interest.
More Maitri, Inc. is a non-profit human service agency dedicated to providing support and services to persons with disabilities. Founded on the principle of Maitri; More Maitri Inc. is based on a philosophy of a loving-kindness towards all.
The More Maitri mission is to cultivate and support independence and interdependence by offering a Residential Program, Day Program, and Behavioral Services. They strive to provide a safe and supportive environment for their participants, staff, and the community.
This fits with the Brothers Gives Back’s focus on paying it forward. We believe that every little thing one person does can change someone else’s life for the better. Being able to give back to cause that approaches assistance on all levels gives us joy knowing that our drop in the bucket can go towards helping a great program.
